the dedicated: artists experimenting with virtual 
reality, media commentators in search of insights, 
scholars applying his theories to the information 
highway. Perhaps his most amusing legacy is an 
electronic screensaver, software that appears 
when the computer idles, endlessly turning 
simulated pages of quotations by and about 
McLuhan.
